You don´t have to do the other standardized test in a room full of strangers. Some of the other tests could be administered right in your home by anyone other than you and your husband. For instance, I know that indivials with a Bachelor´s degree can be approved to administer the Iowa test. Some of the other tests have even less stringent requirements. If you know of someone who would be willing to administer the tests in your home (split up over several days to cut down on the stress) you would help to cut the anxiety issue. See askpauline.com for more detailed info. Also, you are not restricted to using your evaluator for the testing. You could find someone else to come to your home to administer the individualized test mentioed in the post below. It might cost a bit more, but I think it would be worth it.
