Hello. I just wanted to let you all know that I appreciate your input, and the Plum situation appears to be just fine. I just spoke with the person responsible for reviewing the portfolios, and she said that her administrative assistant was just being a "good soldier" and hadnīt realized she could take the portfolio sooner...they were just trying to schedule their time internally, not that homeschoolers couldnīt do it when wanted. Also, the requirement for hours of each subject was just the way the letter was worded, it is fine if the parents do the calendar year log.
So, it appears that the resistance that I perceived from the administrative assistant and the letter sent by Plum were just due to the fact that these women are new in their positions this year, and some need for better/clearer communication with homeschoolers rather than trying to make it harder on us.
I hope this is the case and nothing happens to send up concern, but the person at Plum assured me that all would probably be just fine.
